Three questions that pick the piece.
Answer these and the collection narrows to a handful. Send us the answers and we will send back the three that fit.
How long should a freestanding tub be?
Measure the wall it sits against and subtract 6 inches for the filler and cleaning access. Under 6 feet tall, a 59 to 63 inch tub soaks fully; over 6 feet, look at 67 inches and longer. A 45 to 55 inch Japanese soaker goes deep instead of long.
Acrylic, stone resin or cast iron?
Acrylic is light, warm to the touch and the easiest to carry upstairs. Stone resin is heavier, matte, and holds heat longest. Cast iron is the classic slipper: heaviest, most durable, and needs a floor check before delivery.
Which tub filler fits a freestanding tub?
Floor-mount fillers need a supply stub-out in the floor within about 6 inches of the rim; wall-mount fillers need a spout long enough to clear the rolled edge. Center-drain tubs accept either end. We confirm the pairing from a photo of your rough-in.
